Q: How much does a Renaissance Club membership cost?

A: Membership costs roughly what you would spend on a nice dinner. Here's the breakdown:

- 1 experience per month (Monthly): $99/mo per person

- 2 experiences per month (Biweekly): $189/mo per person

- Thrill Seeker Add-On: additional $26/mo per person (this includes high-octane experiences like Skydiving, Bunjee Jumping, Paragliding, etc. added into your rotation)

Q: What's included in the membership fee? What's not included?

A: Under your membership, the cost of ALL your experiences is completely covered :) There's also so, so much more...

 

As an active Renaissance Club member, you also get special perks and discounts on an ever-growing network of brands, services, and events we partner with. Your membership also comes with white-glove concierge support, a gift box, full suggested itineraries near your activities, and free access to our TRIBES feature, which helps you connect and form tribes with our ever growing community of like-minded members.

Then again, you could spend that $99 on a single night of dinner and drinks at the same old restaurant you always go to. Up to you to decide which is more valuable.

 

*Note: The only things we DON'T cover are the occasional extra expenses like street or garage parking, vendor tips (optional), gift shop purchases, food and drink, etc. 

 

Q: What kind of experiences will I be doing?

A: While there are over 100 unique experiences, each one is derived from one of 5 major categories:

 

Arts & Crafts - painting, woodwork, glasswork, candle-making, pottery, etc.

Culinary Arts - cooking classes, wine/beer tasting, coffee roasting, mixology, etc.

Motion - archery, skating, knife/axe throwing, martial arts, dance classes, bouldering, etc.

Culture - live shows, comedy, theater, magic classes, exhibits/museums, special tours, etc.

Spirituality - tai chi, meditation, healing/massages, sensory deprivation, sound baths, etc.

 

There are 2 additional categories which members may include in their membership by choice. Thrill Seeker (extreme sports like Skydiving and Bunjee Jumping) and Philanthropy, which includes Volunteer-based activities to help those in need.

Q: How does booking work?

A: Each month, you’ll receive a series of 3 emails:

 1. The BLIND CONFIRMATION EMAIL: You'll choose and confirm 3 potential date/time slots for your next experience without knowing what it will be. All experiences will be curated based on YOUR availability and the preferences. *Remember, you can always update your preferences in your account portal.

2. An EXPERIENCE REVEAL email with detailed instructions about your experience.

3. A REMINDER email (48 hours prior to experience).

Q: What happens if I need to reschedule my experience?

A: Great question! In most cases rescheduling is a simple click of a button in your portal. Generally speaking, once you confirm a date and time and the experience is booked, we expect you to commit to it the same you would if you bought a concert ticket (that’s sort of the whole point).

 

That said, we get that life happens. *Most of our experiences are reschedulable up to a certain date prior. That deadline is determined by the vendor, not us. As long as you request to reschedule before that deadline (and assuming the ticket is refundable or exchangeable), we’ll happily reschedule you! 

Q: What if I’m uncomfortable with an experience?

A: While we ask that you be open-minded, you are never obligated to partake in any experience you are uncomfortable with.

 

If you decide you are too uncomfortable with an upcoming experience, you can let us know in your account portal. In most cases, we will swap out your experience for something else. Since we use your preferences to curate your experiences, this should happen very rarely, if at all.

Q: If I’m a DUO, can I bring someone else if my +1 can’t make it?

A: Great question, and yes! In *most* cases, you may bring someone else instead of your +1. There may be a few experiences that only allow those whose exact name is on the ticket, but most experiences should be perfectly fine. When you get your Experience Reveal, you should have all the info you need there. If you're still unsure, please reach out to us so we can double check for you.

Q: What happens if a vendor cancels an experience?

A: If any activity is canceled by the vendor for any reason (ie weather, COVID, over or under-booked, etc.), that, of course, is not on you and you will be rescheduled automatically at no extra charge.

Q: Can I give an RC membership as a gift?

A: Yes! Renaissance Club is one of the most unique and memorable gifts you could possibly give. 

At the moment, the best way to gift RC is to Sign Up as normal, and enter your gift recipient's name and information instead of yours. Then, when it comes time to check out, simply use your credit card instead of theirs. This will charge your card each month just like a normal membership, which your recipient can then cancel any time. Your recipient can also easily swap out your credit card for theirs at any point.

Q: Will I ever repeat an experience?

A: We will always try to make sure you are not repeating experiences until you have completed all possible experiences available to you based on your membership and preferences. In most cases, you should not be repeating a particular experience for at least 2-3 years. That said, if you have very limited availability, that can severely limit the range of what we can offer you, and may result in repeated or similar experiences on occasion.

Q: How does the Philanthropy category work?

A: Members may opt to include “Philanthropy” in their rotation. We implore members to consider this, as it nourishes and strengthens the heart more than any cardiovascular exercise in existence. As a Philanthropy member, you would do some volunteer-based activity twice a year such as helping out at your local soup kitchen, food drive, or shelter. Members who opt in for this are rewarded faster access to Mask Memberships.

 

Q: Will we be doing group experiences with other Renaissance Club members?

A: The short answer is sometimes yes, and sometimes no. This really depends on the experience, and your availability. 

Essentially, each member is on their own personal "journey" of trying new things, rather than big group activities. 

 

That said, starting your third month, you will have access to a feature called "Tribes" which will allow you to build your own community of Renaissance Club members. When someone is in your Tribe, we will know to book you with them as often as your availabilities allow for!

Q: Can I cancel any time?

A: Yes, you can cancel any time! Your membership is month to month, and there is no long-term commitment. Just keep in mind that when you cancel, your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing cycle.

Q: Will a representative be there at each experience?

A: Due to the volume and variety of activities we have happening on any given day, there is no way we could possibly send (much less staff) a representative to be at each experience.

 

For this reason, we highly encourage members to take charge in sparking conversation with one another if another member is at your activity. Another great way to spark conversation is simply by wearing anything from our merch store so that other members can identify you.
